About Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)

The Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) is a statutory body established by the Nurses Act Cap 257 of the Laws of Kenya to ensure the delivery of safe and effective nursing and midwifery care, to the public, through quality education and best practices.

It is the only professional regulatory body for all cadres of nursing and midwives in Kenya, and ensures these professionals have the acceptable level of competence before they begin to practice to deliver consistent, quality care that keeps people safe.

The Council conducts accreditation examination Nephrology, Critical Care, Anaesthesiology, Perioperative, Emergency Care, Trauma and Emergency; Paediatric and Neonatology Care, Community Health, Home-Based Care, Family Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Community Midwifery, Mental Health, Midwifery and/or Reproductive Health and Women's Health, HIV/AIDS & TB, Infection Prevention, Oncology and Control/Epidemiology, Psychosocial, ENT and Ophthalmology
